Community Service
Kessinger/Hunter & Co. is proud to support many worthy causes, both locally and nationwide.  With donations to organizations including March of Dimes, Brain Injury Association of Kansas, ALS Association, Junior Golf Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Higher M-Pact, and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) totaling in excess of $60,000 in the past two years alone, Kessinger Hunter is working to improve our community.  In addition to financial contributions, we are pleased to have donated our man-hours as detailed below.

Salvation Army - Kessinger/Hunter & Company associates recently donated over 30 hours of their time to work with the Salvation Army on Project Warmth (the annual blanket drive for those in need). Working in the Downtown Underground, volunteers sorted and loaded blankets and coats for a variety of local organizations to distribute.

Kansas City Star - Kessinger/Hunter & Company is pleased to be a business partner of the "Star In Education" program, which provides copies of the Kansas City Star newspaper to area schools on a daily basis to encourage knowledge of real-world events.  Click here for a list of participating organizations.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund - Greg Swetnam and Dan Jensen, both principals of Kessinger/Hunter & Co., served as General Co-Chairs for this year's Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund Dream Gala, which took place in May of 2007.  The event set a new record for the JDRF efforts, raising more than $1.4 million for diabetes research.  Kessinger/Hunter & Co. is proud to play a part in such a worthy organization.  Click here for more information.

Harvesters Food Drive - Kessinger/Hunter & Company associates contributed close to 200 pounds of donated items in our December food drive, enough food for almost 150 meals for individuals in our community.
